It requires no labour/ no manual intervention and no maintenance.
In terms of convenience, it is undoubtedly the best that is available – Just open the lid and put in the wet waste. Open the compost door and the compost falls out automatically. No other intermediate process.
Volume reduction is 80 – 85%. Hence 100 kg of wet waste is converted into 10 – 15kg of compost, reducing your space requirements for compost storage also.
Since the digestion is aerobic, there is no methane/ ammonia formed from the nitrogen content of the food and hence odourless.
The operating temperature of 50-55 degrees plus ensures that all pathogens are killed thus making it safe for human handling. The fully packed design and high temperature ensures that it does not attract rodents, insects or flies.
